Philosophy and Program Description

Children learn best in a self-directed environment where they can experiment and explore using all their senses. Specialists think that a child's most critical learning period occurs during the first six years of life. In every age group, children are encouraged to engage in activities that are intellectually stimulating, developmentally appropriate, hands-on and creative. We will support and nurture each child's own timeline for growth and development.

We believe that all children need to feel loved, accepted and secure. At Faye’s Bilingual Daycare, children are cherished for who they are. Each child is respected for their uniqueness and in turn learns to respect the uniqueness of others.

While attending Faye’s Bilingual Daycare children are supported and encouraged to:

Be caring and respectful; nurturing self-esteem in themselves as well as in others.
Develop enthusiasm and pleasure for new and challenging experiences.
Develop self-discipline and inner motivation.
Grow in self-confidence and independence
Care for their environment.

Hours of Operation and Daily Activity Schedule

The daycare program is open 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday, except holidays.

The daily schedule is subject to change without notice. Any changes will be posted at the front entrance.

Special Activities

Holidays - We will celebrate many holidays here at Faye’s Bilingual Daycare. Children are encouraged to share their family’s special holiday stories or activities with the other children in the program.
Birthdays - We love to celebrate children's birthdays. Our birthday ceremony will involve everyone in the daycare. Before a child's birthday, we will ask the child’s parent/s for photos and a few specific facts or interesting events for every year of the child's life. The birthday child is welcome to bring a special snack to share with their friends, upon approval of the supervisor.
Video - We will limit videos to a maximum of 30 minutes a day. Videos will be targeted for children’s viewing in the Chinese language.
Meals and Snacks

Faye’s Bilingual Daycare provides breakfast, lunch, dinner and two snacks daily including organic milk to all children (with except to infants). We participate in the USDA Food Program. The menu will be posted and sent to parents by email weekly.
Children who arrive between 7:00am to 8:30am are invited to have breakfast. Children who stay until 6pm are invited to have dinner. If you would like your child to have dinner at Faye’s Bilingual Daycare, please arrange it with us ahead of time per the menu.
We are a NUT-CAUTIOUS center – No nut products or items that contain a “nut” warning are to be brought into the Daycare.
If your child has allergies or food preferences, which are not provided by the daycare, you are welcome to bring in your own food but should be reviewed with the director prior to bringing it.
Treats are welcome for birthdays and other celebrations, but must be approved by the director.
Please notify us if your child has any allergies or adverse reactions with certain foods or beverages. It is your responsibility to make sure we have this information updated on the Child Care Registration Form.
